Recupel collection point: Sustainable collection of end-of-life electronic equipment

A Recupel point is an authorised location where waste electrical and electronic equipment is collected in an environmentally friendly manner. These appliances contain valuable raw materials that can be reused, but also hazardous materials that must be processed safely. A Recupel point ensures that this process is carried out in accordance with strict sustainability requirements.

How does a Recupel collection point work?

When an electronic device is handed in, it is safely stored in specially designed containers. From there, it is collected by Recupel and taken to certified processing centres. There, materials are sorted, recycled and, where possible, reintroduced into the circular economy. This conserves natural resources and prevents environmental damage.

Benefits of a Recupel collection point

Recupel collection points play a key role in responsible waste management. They ensure:

  1. Environmentally friendly processing of electronic waste

  2. Safe handling of hazardous substances, in accordance with legal standards

  3. Reuse of valuable materials, which strengthens the circular economy

  4. Practical and regulated collection, for both businesses and consumers

VPD as an accredited Recupel collection point

VPD is officially recognised as a Recupel collection point. This means we can collect electronic devices directly from customers, for example when delivering a new device or as part of a returns process. The collected devices are stored safely and sent for recycling in accordance with Recupel guidelines.

By cleverly combining delivery, returns and sustainable waste processing, we reduce the number of transport movements and lower costs. At the same time, we reduce the ecological footprint of the logistics process. In this way, VPD not only offers a practical solution for e-waste, but also helps businesses to operate in a visibly sustainable manner. Something that is becoming increasingly important for end customers and stakeholders alike.
