Upto 2,000 deliveries per day
Since summer, we have been extremely focused on our work. New clients have joined us, and thanks to our existing partners, we were able to achieve significant growth. This year, we carried out nearly 500,000 deliveries: that's more than 1,600 per day. And during the busiest periods, this number even rose to 2,000 deliveries per day!
To manage this growth, we opened a new hub in Flémalle in November. In total, we now have seven warehouses spread across Belgium, from where we start our last mile delivery. This regional proximity helps us minimise the number of kilometres travelled.

Did you know that more than 32 percent of these deliveries were made with an electric vehicle? In the world of transport, VPD is recognised as a pioneer in the transition from fossil fuels to sustainable alternatives. Our fleet now includes 30 electric vans, and in December, we also put two electric trucks into service.
But that's not all! Our headquarters in Zellik has been transformed into a green hub. To achieve this, we joined forces with WDP, our logistics partner. As a result, there are now 12,000 square meters of solar panels on our roof, producing a maximum peak power of 1.5 megawatts. A portion of this naturally generated energy is stored in our own battery with a capacity of 800 kilowatts. This is in turn connected to 30 charging stations with which we can charge our electric vehicles. A part of our land is also permanently open as a public charging point where anyone can come to charge their car. Eventually, we also want to transform our other buildings into green hubs.
NPS 80
Moreover, we are extremely proud of our net promoter score (NPS). It measures customer satisfaction on a scale of -100 to +100. At the beginning of this year, we already had an excellent score of 72. But our continuous investments in the quality of our deliveries and installations have resulted in a fantastic 80+ score by the end of this year!
It goes without saying that this could not have been achieved without the daily motivation, commitment, and passion of all our employees, whether they work on the road, in warehouses, or in our offices. It is thanks to them that we can present such magnificent results. VPD is an attractive and growing company, as demonstrated by the fact that we hired 25 new employees this year.
In 2024, we want to continue on this trajectory. Our headquarters in Zellik will therefore be renovated and expanded, following of course the latest sustainability standards. Furthermore, we will integrate new electric vehicles into our fleet, and we hope to introduce new clients as well.
