Together, we are committed to increasing the number of zero-emission home deliveries — a clear reflection of our strong synergy. We are proud to play a key role as IKEA Belgium’s official logistics partner.

Making Electric Delivery a Reality

Our drivers are now on the road with brand-new, fully electric trucks, straight from the Volvo Trucks factory in Ghent. These vehicles represent IKEA’s concrete ambitions to make over 80% of its deliveries emission-free by summer 2025. The trucks are used for large-scale home deliveries – such as kitchens – and operate from VPD’s logistics hubs.

This marks another major step for VPD in our journey towards greener transport. We are pursuing a similar goal: to complete 80% of our deliveries using electric vehicles by the end of this year.

A Shared Vision for Sustainability

What sets this project apart is that it goes beyond simply investing in new technology — it’s about a shared vision. IKEA has made deliberate choices: sourcing trucks locally (from Ghent), building long-term partnerships, and working with stakeholders who share the same environmental ambitions.
