Personalised approach for Leylines

VPD is proud to have Leylines among its customers since the spring of 2022. Leylines focuses its activities on operating e-commerce websites such as www.zoutgigant.be and www.brandhout-gigant.be. These online shops are the true link between the producer and the end customer. Leylines is active on many different niche markets and offers products which can pose a real logistical challenge.

On a daily basis, Leylines strives to achieve the maximum level of service, and identify  the perfect balance between purchases, sales and distribution.

Menno Kempers, Leylines Project Manager: “After researching the market to identify a new Belgian partner, VPD was quickly identified as an experienced player in the field of B2C deliveries. VPD combines delivery speed with additional services, which immediately convinced us. Those additional services are indeed one of our unique selling points. As an e-commerce player, we do not get to meet our customers and engage on a personal level, so the driver really is our business card. It is therefore especially important to us that the delivery process goes smoothly and exactly as desired. The client should never have an unpleasant experience during this process.

VPD receives pallets of hardwood, road salt and swimming pool salt, and places them in storage. Leylines sends out their order picking list daily, and orders are then compiled and prepared for dispatch. The order is delivered to the end customer during the next day.

For Leylines, the greatest added value of VPD is that when an end customer places an order on the online store, their order gets delivered home 2 days later, anywhere in Belgium.

Menno Kempers: “We have been collaborating for over six months and we have made a lot of progress together. Starting with a small number of shipments for one of our stores, we have now extended their services to our entire offering.

In the beginning, everything was entered manually, but we now have a system that automatically redirects every delivery. The growth and development we experienced during our first semester together really show how satisfied we are regarding our collaboration. We hope to further increase the number of shipments this year, in particular with the launch of a new online store in Belgium.

VPD sits down with the client and analyses their needs, and we determine together how best we can meet those needs. Each client benefits from a customized approach based on their needs, with the aim of bringing added value to each and every client.
